In 2007, Ms. Stalls assumed administration of intramural grant programs at ACHRI. These programs are the Children's University Medical Group, the Marion B. Lyon New Scientist Development Award, and the ACHRI/Arkansas Biosciences Institute Competitive Research Grant Program. She oversees the application process including the release of announcements and accessibility of application materials. She works with ACHRI administration to recruit peer reviewers and to organize review meetings. Ms. Stalls also attends to the awards granted in these intramural programs. She inquires about awards management and budget revisions. She collects information from the investigators regarding publications, presentations, and extramural funds resulting from the work supported by intramural grants. From these data, Ms. Stalls prepares a report for the ACHRI President to present to the ACHRI Board of Directors. In addition to administering intramural grant programs, she assists the ACHRI Research Administrator with extramural grants. Prior to her arrival at ACHRI, Ms. Stalls worked as a marketing assistant at a land development corporation for two years. She prepared and reviewed marketing packages and documents and maintained the company’s Web site and databases. Ms. Stalls interned at the office of the Lieutenant Governor of Arkansas for a year. She researched and prepared responses to constituent inquiries. Ms. Stalls also served as a liaison between the Lieutenant Governor and state senators and their staff members. She later served the Lieutenant Governor as Director of Scheduling during his campaign for Governor. Ms. Stalls graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science in Speech Communication and Political Science. At UCA, she was team leader for a communications assessment conducted at business units of a local information technology company.
