Ms. Storment oversees the clinical trials program for ACHRI. For these projects she manages facility, staffing, and fiscal resources. She oversees the Pediatric Clinical Research Unit (PCRU) at Arkansas Children’s Hospital (ACH) where ACHRI’s researchers conduct their clinical trials. Ms. Storment established and supervises the ACHRI coordinator pool (composed of RNs) which provides clinical trial coordinators for researchers in need of support for their trials. In regards to clinical trial projects, she oversees the budget including the release, monitoring, and closing of project accounts. She also manages the Institute’s subject tracking system, an Internet-based program allowing processes including enrollment of trial subjects, release of payment stipends, and verification against ACH’s billing system. Since arriving at ACHRI in 2001, Ms. Storment was involved in the expansion of the PCRU to its current 4,000 square feet of research space.

Ms. Storment’s experience prior to ACHRI includes the role of clinical coordinator at a local orthopedic clinic and the duties of an orthopedic nurse at a local hospital. She graduated from the Baptist School of Nursing and has been a registered nurse since 1996. Ms. Storment is a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator and is a member of the Society of Research Administrators and the Association of Clinical Research Professionals.
