CUMG Award Program

The Children's University Medical Group (CUMG) award Program was created to support new investigators in developing their research efforts as well as assisting already productive investigators in their existing research projects. ACHRI provides administrative oversight throughout the submission, review, and award process. If an applicant receives an award, the award will be set up in the eRequest system for management purposes. All UAMS salary and fringe expenses will be managed through the PIs home department. ACHRI will need to be contacted to approve budget revisions and submit final progress reports at the end of the award period. The categories for which these funds are intended to be utilized include:

1. Established Investigator Awards
2. Seed Money for Young Investigators
3. Clinician/Faculty/Trainee-Initiated Research
4. Fellows' Research Program

The application deadlines for these awards are March 1 and September 1 of each year.
