Research Overview

Dr. Mian's translational research interest includes exploring cytokines and proteins to predict clinical outcomes for patients receive chemotherapy. He focuses on discovery and application of novel cytokine based biomarkers as predictors of outcomes. In 2008, Dr. Mian received a CUMG grant to study a risk-stratified predictive model based on mediators of inflammation. Most recently, Dr. Mian was named "Hyundai Scholar" 2011-2012 and received "Hope on Wheels" grant to study correlation of various proteins with clinical outcome during fever neutropenia.
